Audi to expand its production capacity of Aurangabad plant

Audi is planning to increase its production capacity of its Aurangabad plant to 6000 cars a year. Currently, the company is assembling Q5- an SUV model, A4 and A6 and has assembled 2000 cars since 2007. The new capacity will become operational by 2015. It plans to assemble 1500 Q5 as the model has been growing at 71%. It also plans to launch A8 at the end of the year 2010

Audi expands it dealership in India

Audi, the German luxury car maker in India, has opened a new showroom in Kolkatta. This dealership is one of the largest which is to cater east Indian markets with it own workshop facility to service all Audi models. Currently, Audi has 12 dealers including Kolkatta, and in other important cities - Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad , Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi. Despite the downturn, the company has shown 75% growth in the first 6 months.

Audi to expand its dealer network

Luxury car maker Audi which grew by 201 % in the calendar year of 2008 is planning to open dealer in tier-II cities Jaipur, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Kochi and in metros Chennai and Kolkatta. The company will focus more on northern India as its 50% of sales from that region. Currently, Audi has dealers at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Bangalore.
